Naturopathy & Nutrition
Naturopathy is an approach to healing that considers the whole person and their innate healing abilities. It looks to treat the underlying causes of disease, and has a strong focus on preventative medicine.
It uses techniques that draw on the healing power of nature, herbs, diet & lifestyle.
Each person's situation is considered and treated on an individual basis that takes into account their physical, emotional and psychological needs.
Whilst each of our Naturopaths has special areas of interest, they have all been trained to treat a wide variety of conditions including:
Stress & Adrenal Fatigue
Digestion Issues
Mental Health
Skin Conditions
Autoimmune disease
Blood Sugar imbalances
Hormonal issues

Frequently Asked Questions
-
For your first appointment you will be asked to complete an intake form prior to coming so that we can note any relevant information before your session, and free up time to chat during the 60 mins or so you have with us.
We take a comprehensive health history during your first session. Some of the questions may seem unrelated to your concerns, but it helps us build a complete picture of your health.
Depending on the nature of your condition we may make dietary, supplement, lifestyle or testing recommendations during this appointment
-
Yes. Naturopathy is commonly used alongside medical and allied health care, not as a replacement.
-
We will not, and cannot, advise you to stop prescribed medications. Coordination with your GP or specialist is encouraged if you wish to make changes to prescribed medications.
-
No - any supplements required are at an additional cost. Please discuss any budgetary constraints with your practitioner
-
Yes! Naturopathy is an unregulated industry, which means technically anyone can get away with calling themselves a Naturopath. But all our Naturopaths hold appropriate Naturopathy qualifications, and are registered with their relevant Naturopathy associations
-
Naturopathy was stripped from Private Health claiming many years ago now. The government has now removed the legistlative barriers to reinstating barriers, but we are still waiting for Private Health insurers to allow claiming again.
Stand alone nutrition appointments can still be claimed (suitable for weight management or dietary modifications) - but only with someone who holds a separate Nutrition qualification. Rebecca Milham is suitable for these appointments.
-
Yes - Naturopaths can treat all ages. Treatment modifications will be made for babies and children
