Bowen Therapy
Bowen Therapy is an Australian-made body technique where small gentle movements are performed over the various parts of the body. You often don’t need to take clothes off and no oil is used. It encourages the body’s own healing abilities to respond and re-establish balance. It can often provide sustained relief from pain and discomfort.
It is commonly used for musculoskeletal issues (stiff neck, sore feet, niggly back or hips etc), headaches and migraines and the like, as well as being an excellent approach to assist with anxiety, digestive issues, and stress
management. Its positive effects are often both physical and emotional in nature and it can be a very relaxing experience even for those who feel they don’t know how to relax.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Bowen Therapy doesn't look or feel like massage.
There's no oil and in most instances, as long as you're wearing light clothing, you won't need to remove it.
There’s no kneading of muscles, no repeated deep pressure, no vigorous manipulation.
Often people don’t feel the same kind of post treatment soreness as one can report after a massage which means it’s a great option for extra sensitive bodies. People with fibromyalgia for example often prefer Bowen because it is much gentler for their hypersensitive bodies
